Above, my view out front across the street. In the earlier evening hours there are always candles burning on the window sills (as they are on mine). It's like Christmas every day. I love it.
Below, the view out my bedroom window into the court yard. I have curtains there. I'm considerate.
And while we're looking into other people's flats, let's note that there is no clutter anywhere. Clutter and Denmark do not fit together. It just doesn't exist. Just orchids, nice lamps, candles, and TVs.

it looks like then I've found my new dream destination for my escape from the US. You know my life long battle with clutter. Who knew that my mother was the buffer between me and my hoarding tendencies! Granted, I've gotten rid of a lot of paper and donated a lot of knickknacks and clothes but it has taken the new familial addition to really buckle down and make a real dent in this clutter free living goal. It's a whole lot different when you have to make room for a whole other person. lol. I should visit Denmark and get more tips in person!
well, you know where ikea gets all its storage unit inspirations from... those scandinavian designers simply know how to make stuff disappear. and then when the stuff is out of sight, you put candles there, and nifty soft lights.
but i am so proud of you for keeping on with your clutter project! good luck with kid+toys. you have to be very disciplined to keep up with that mess. :)
